入手（手に入れる）を表す get と近い意味合いを持つ「レベル２」の動詞をいくつか勉強しましょう。

ヤヨイはオフィスで同僚のジョナスから、メールを受け取ったかどうか尋ねられます。
Jonas: Good morning, Yayoi. Did you turn on your computer?
Yayoi: Yes, of course. It’s already 10 o’clock. I’m checking my emails now.
Jonas: Did you read the one I sent you at 9:00?
Yayoi: Nine today? Sorry, I don’t seem to have received your email.
Jonas: Maybe it went into your junk mail folder.
Yayoi: Oh, here it is. What is this?
Jonas: You’ve won the New Product Idea Award from our company. Congratulations! You really deserve it.
Yayoi: Wow! Thanks a lot.

accept(受け取る・承諾する）には、受け手の積極的な同意が伴います。

deserve は「受ける価値がある（ふさわしい）」。
