Alana: Hiroki, I almost didn’t recognize you. You look so different in a suit.
Hiroki: Hi, Alana. I had to buy some new clothes because my company offered me a much better position.
Alana: Congratulations! What are you doing now?
Hiroki: It’s a sales position. I have to meet a lot of clients.
Alana: That’s great. You started at the company only a few months ago, didn’t you?
Hiroki: Yes, I’ve been very busy.

動詞の後ろに目的語が2つ並んだ「授与型」。この形をとれば give(与える)以外の動詞も、常に「授与(あげる・くれる)」の意味が生じます。この文で動詞は offer(申し出る・差し出す)ですが、授与型で使われているため「~に…を提供する」という意味となります。
