でもレストランで彼は私に自作のロマンチックな歌をとても大きな声で歌ってくれたの。すごく恥ずかしかった。
But, at the restaurant, he sang me a romantic song he wrote in a very loud voice. That was so embarrassing.
 
embarrass は「恥ずかしく思わせる」、その形容詞 embarrassing は「恥ずかしく思わせるような」。
 
彼は私の理想の男性じゃないと思わざるを得ないわね。
I can’t help thinking he is not my Mr. Right!
 
cannot help …ing は「~せざるを得ない・せずにはいられない」。

昨晩カノジョと僕の誕生日を祝ったんだ。彼女は僕を高級フレンチレストランに連れていってくれたんだよ。すべては完璧に進んでいたんだ、会計をするまでは。
I celebrated my birthday with my girlfriend last night. She took me to a fancy French restaurant. Everything was going perfectly until we got the check.
 
食事がものすごく高かったんだ。レストランはミネラルウオーターの小さなボトルにさえ30ドルも請求したんだよ。信じられない。
The meal cost a fortune. They even changed us $30 for a small bottle of mineral water. Unbelievable!
 
cost a fortune は「大金がかかる」。
 
最後には彼女にいくらか貸して会計の手伝いをしなくちゃならなかったんだぜ。彼女はとても恥ずかしがっていたよ。
In the end, I had to help her by lending her some money. She was so embarrassed!
 
She was so embarrassed. では彼女の感情が述べられています。使うべき形容詞形はもちろん embarrassed となります。
