a「教える」も重要なコミュニケーションのひとつ。中心的な動詞は teach ですよ。

Jonas: She teaches physics at a university in Stockholm.

「教える」、最も一般的な動詞は teach 。ですが最も一般的とは言っても、日本語の「教える」ほど広く使われるわけではありません。 teach はある程度複雑な内容を、時間をかけて「教える」ことを意味するからです。駅や名前を聞くなら Can you tell～ ? で十分です。
