エリーが何かやっています。スティーブが尋ねると、科学実験をしているそうです。
Steve: Elly, what are you doing?
Elly: I’m doing a little science experiment. Watch this. This is a peeled, hard-boiled egg. And here is a milk bottle. I put a lit match into the bottle. Now, I cover the top with my hand.
Steve: There’s smoke in the bottle.
Elly: Now I put the egg on top of the bottle.
（卵が瓶の中に吸い込まれ、ポンッと音がする）
Steve: Wow! It got sucked in!
Elly: Right. That’s because of the low pressure in the bottle. I’m really interested in physics.
Steve: I can see that.

get を使った受動態は予期せず・突然・驚きといった事態が急に動いたニュアンスを持ちます。
②because of ～
That’s because of the low pressure in the bottle.
because of ～（～が原因で）の後ろは必ず名詞(句）となります。「because of ＋名詞」は「because ＋節」としっかり区別しておきましょう。

believe in … （～を信じる）には、in のイメージが色濃く表れています。believe …が「（～の言うこと）を信じる」という表面的意味であるのに対し、believe in …は信じる力が奥深く至ります。
Their products vary greatly in quality.
vary は「異なるさまざまなバリエーションがある」という動詞。ほかにも vary in size （サイズがさまざまある）などと使うことができます。
