a place などの場所を表す名詞のあとに where＋主語＋動詞 … の関係詞節を続けて、そこがどんな場所なのか、何ができるのかといった特徴をくわしく説明してみましょう。
ここで使われている where は「どこで～」という疑問詞ではなく、先行詞の a good place と we can get costumes をつなぐ関係詞です。この where を「関係副詞」と呼びます。
関係副詞 where の先行詞は、place や city など場所を表す名詞です。where は “at which”、”in which”などの「場所を表す前置詞 + which （関係代名詞）」と役割は同じで、置き換えが可能です。
【例】This is the town. My father was born in this town.
→This is the town in which my father was born.
