Tia: Dad, let’s go into this shop.
Dad: A smartphone shop? You already have a smartphone.
Tia: I know, but I want to see the latest model. Mine is three years old. Oh, here it is. It’s so cool!
Dad: Look at the price, though. That’s more than twice the price of the one you have now.
Tia: But it’s so much better than mine. Won’t you buy it for me, Dad?
Dad: Let’s wait a few months for the price to come down.
Tia: Don’t you love me?
Dad: Of course I love you, but if you think I’m going to change my mind… you’re right!
Tia: Thanks, Dad!

That’s more than twice the price of the one you have now.
名詞の前に直接「～倍」をつける言い方を覚えましょう。twice the price で「２倍の値段」。ここでは more than （～を超えて）がついているので、２倍を超えた値段。the one は model（型・機種）を繰り返さないための代用表現です。

「私のこと愛していないの？」─否定を使った疑問文は、日本語でもよく使われますね。この形は通常の疑問文と比べると、意外・心外・同意を求める気持ちなど感情的色彩が強い表現となります。この文にも相手への非難が感じられますね。
否定疑問文は、通常の疑問文の助動詞要素（助動詞・do・be 動詞）に not を加えることによって作ることができます。

否定疑問文でやっかいなのは、その答え方。否定疑問文への応答は、「文脈の not をカウントしない」。Don’t you love me? への答えは、Do you love me? に対してと同じです。
Don’t you love me? – Yes, I do. いいえ、愛していますよ。
Don’t you love me? – No, I don’t. はい、愛していませんよ。
日本語では「ない」をカウントするため、「はい」「いいえ」が逆転しますが、英語ではnot をカウントしないため、そのままです。

否定疑問文 won’t you …? は丁寧な依頼として使うことができます。「ない」を含んでいるため「だめかもしれないけど、お願い」という響きがあり、少し湿度の高い、ねちっこい依頼となっています。

don’t they understand に「信じられない」「一体そんなことがあるのか」といった感情が含まれています。how 以降は wh 節「この件がどれほど urgent（緊急）なのか」。

助動詞 have に not をつけて否定疑問文になっています。「意外・非難」の気持ちが感じられます。
Aren’t you nervous about making such an important presentation?
be 動詞に not を加えて否定疑問文。「驚き」が感じられます。否定疑問文は感情を豊かに運ぶ形です。
