Yota: Sho, I did it! I’m going to the school of my choice!

Sho: Congratulations.

Yota: What’s wrong? You don’t sound happy.

Sho: I got this text from Miki.

Miki: “I couldn’t get into the second school of my choice. But I will overcome this! I won’t contact you for a while, but don’t worry about me.”

Yota: I see. Well, she failed one exam, but is still thinking positive. All I can say is she’ll probably be all right.

Sho: Yeah. I’m sure she’ll get into the top school of her choice.

Yota: Sho, if you’re worried about her, cheer her up with a text. I’m sure she’ll appreciate.it.

Lesson 141 Summary

Sho read out a text from Miki.
Yota said, “She failed one exam, but is still thinking positive.all I can say is she’ll probably be all right.”
He told Sho to cheer Miki up with his reply.

Lesson 142 You want to cheer a girl up?

Sho: What text should I send Miki to cheer her up?

Naoki: I’m home. Sho, what are you doing in the living room? Don’t you have to study?

Sho: Dad…if Mom were feeling down, what should I write to cheer her up?

Sho: You didn’t have cell phones?
