Mirai: Hi, Theo. It’s nice to see you again. Do you often walk your dog here?
Theo: Yeah, I usually come here on the weekends. How’s your dog Paul?
Mirai: He’s fine, thanks. You know, I’ve also got a cat.
Theo: Oh, you have two pets now?
Mirai: Yes, my cat Ringo is good friends with Paul.
Theo: Paul and Ringo, huh? Sounds like the Beatles. Are you going to get another pet and name it John or George?
Mirai: Ha ha! I doubt it.

doubt は「疑う」と訳される動詞ですが「そうじゃない」と思う心の動きを表します。
I doubt we’ll see him again.
I suspect you’ll never hear from her again.
It was just a misunderstanding, I suspect.
It would be irresponsible to speculate on the cause of the accident.

get to は「～する機会を得る「というニュアンス。
I suspect she’s covering up for her husband.
cover up は「（事実などを）隠す」。よく使われるフレーズ。
The police chief refused to speculate on the kidnapper’s motives.
refuse は「断る・拒否する」。kidnapper は「誘拐犯」。motive は「動機」。どれもニュースなどでよく目にする単語です。
