Tony, you missed every practice last month. What’s going on?
Sorry, coach. I’ve been busy with my part-time job.
Well, you’re going to have to make a choice between soccer and your job.
You know how much I love soccer, but I need the money to help pay for my school fees.
I understand that, but if you carry on like this, I’ll have to kick you off the team.
OK, coach.
Where’s Liz? She’s always late.
She’s still in her room. She’s probably still sleeping.
But the bus for Mount Fuji leaves in 15 minutes. The next one doesn’t come for another hour.
Don’t worry. I’ll go and get her.
OK, but if she doesn’t get down here in time, I’m leaving. I’ve been looking forward to seeing Mount Fuji for months.
Take it easy, Dieter. Mount Fuji isn’t going anywhere.
Did you enjoy the hot spring, Ally?
Yes, it was so relaxing. But now I want some ice cream. I should have bought that miso ice cream back at that shop.
Don’t they sell it here in the hotel?
No, they just have chocolate and vanilla ice cream. You stay here. I’ll go back there and get some.
Wait. I’m sure you can handle the Japanese, but I’ll go with you just in case.
Thanks, Shota.
Hi, honey. I’m home!
Hi. How was your day?
It was fine, except for this morning. There was no hot water again, so I had to take a cold shower.
It’s happening more and more recently. Our water heater is too old.
We’ll have to get it fixed soon. Otherwise, we’ll probably both catch a cold.
OK, I’ll call the repair people first thing tomorrow morning.
Thanks, honey.
SAY IT ENGLISH①
I hope you have a great time. Good luck.
Oh, and make sure you have some cash on you just in case they don’t accept credit cards.
SAY IT ENGLISH②
Look. This is a special recipe for clam chowder I got from my grandma.
You should follow it to the letter, OK? Otherwise, you’ll spoil it.
