あいさつでは、相手の最近の活動について尋ねることもしばしばあります。
Today’s dialog
タクマが大学の友人ミランダにプレゼンテーションの出来を尋ねます。
Takuma: Hi, Miranda. How are you? How did your presentation go?
Miranda: I’m doing well, Takuma. My presentation was a success.
Takuma: That’s wonderful. You really worked hard on it.
Miranda: Yes, and there was a famous person in the audience.
Takuma: Really? Who was it?
Miranda: Professor Peacock, the archaeologist, was there! He said my presentation was interesting.
Takuma: Wow, that’s so great. What did he like about it?
Miranda: He liked my comparison of ancient Rome with modern-day Tokyo.
