I’d love to help, but I’m already running late for a doctor’s appointment.
Today’s dialog
ホームステイしていた学生さんのことでクドウさん夫婦が会話しています。
Mr. Kudo: The snow is very deep this year.
Mrs. Kudo: Be careful not to hurt your back, dear. You’re not so young anymore.
Mr. Kudo: Can you give me a hand?
Mrs. Kudo: Sorry, I’d love to help, but I’m already running late for a doctor’s appointment.
Mr. Kudo: It’s too bad our homestay student went back to America.
Mrs. Kudo: Yes, last year I made oshiruko for Sean after he cleared the snow for us.
Mr. Kudo: Can you make some this year too?
Mrs. Kudo: Of course!
