Jessica: Look at all the books on the floor.

Peacock: I know. It’s a mess.

Jessica: Is anything missing?

Peacock: Just a few things. Luckily, the things stolen aren’t so valuable.

Jessica: I wonder what the robbers were looking for.

Peacock: There are some ancient artifacts that could fetch a good price on the illegal market.

Jessica: Well, it’s good that nobody was hurt.

Peacock: Yes.

Jimmy: Sorry, I had to take a day off. I was in the hospital for most of the afternoon.

Mika: Hospital? What’s wrong?

Jimmy: Well, on Sunday, I played tennis for too long time in the scorching heat. I was treated for heatstroke.

Mika: Heatstroke? Are you OK?

Jimmy: Don’t worry, it was a very mild case – nothing serious at all.

Mika: You should remember to drink lots of water, even if you’re not thirsty.

Jimmy: I know. That’s what the doctor said.

Hiroki: Do I? I’m just having a good day.

Alana: I heard a rumor that something lucky happened to you.

Hiroki: How do you know? I didn’t tell anybody here about that.

Alana: So, it’s true?

Hiroki: You mean about me winning the lottery?

Alana: What? No, that’s not the rumor I heard. But how much money did you win?

Hiroki: Never mind! Why is everyone gossiping about me anyway?

Dad: I made them, Roxy.

Roxy: Really? How did you make the shell pattern?

Dad: I used a special baking pan I bought online.

Roxy: Why did you start baking cakes, Dad?

Dad: I saw a video and wanted to see if I could make them.

Roxy: Can I try one?

Dad: Sure.
