DJ: Is your dream to be the senior marathon champion once again?
Yoko: Hmm…not really. I’m not interested in that.
DJ: Then what is it?
Yoko: I want to see my family live a happy life.
Sho: Me too, Grandma.
Yoko: I wanto to live long enough to see it happen. That’s my reason for running. And because I’m still running, I’m still the champion.
Sho: That’s great, Grandma. But we can never be truly happy if Mom isn’t here.

「（人・もの）が～するのを見たいです」と言うときは、I want to …につづけて「see＋人（もの）＋動詞の原形」というパターンをおきます。[I want to see you＋動詞の原形]（あなたが～するのを見てみたい）は、相手との距離を縮める効果的なひと言になります。
使役動詞の make と同様、see, hear, feel, など五感に関わる動詞のあとにも「人（もの）＋動詞の原形」が続きます。このような動詞の仲間を知覚動詞と呼びます。
「人（もの）＋動詞の原形」の部分が主語と述語の関係になるのも使役動詞の場合と同じです。
