①関係代名詞 – 目的語に空所
There’s lots I don’t understand.
I don’t understand の後ろ、understand の目的語位置に何も名詞はありません。ここが空所。先行詞 lots がこの空所と組み合わされ「理解できないたくさんのこと」となります。. まず There’s lots（たくさんあるんだよ）と言い切ることが肝心。そのあと lots を説明していく流れです。
②関係代名詞 – 前置詞の目的語に空所
I’ll explain anything you have a problem with.
今度は後続の節の前置詞 with の目的語が空所。ここと anyting を組み合わせ「あなたが困っているいかなることも」という意味を作っています。have a problem with は「～に困っている」。

場所の前は in front of が標準。before は順序関係。

実は before には「場所」に使われるケースもあります。下の文のように、非常に大きな感情的高揚やまた詩的なニュアンスを表すとき、before を場所に使うことも可能です。繊細ですね。

場所の「前」は in front of が標準。show up は「現れる・姿を見せる」。

時間的な「前」は before。

詩的な表現です。whole life は「人生全体・人生のすべて」。lie は「横たわる」。比喩的に「ある・存在している」を表しています。こうした表現すべてが before の使用と相まって詩的な雰囲気を醸し出しています。
