Mark: Hi, Vanessa. How’s your judo club doing?
Vanessa: Very well, thanks. Amanda, one of my teammates, will compete in the prefectural tournament next Sunday.
Mark: You mean Amanda Kurz? We went to the same elementary school.
Vanessa: Oh, I didn’t know that.
Mark: I can’t believe she’s gotten so strong. Do you think she has a good chance to win?
Vanessa: Absolutely. She is sure to win.
Mark: Great. Wish her good luck for me.
Vanessa: I will.

「落ち着きがない・注意散漫」は、scatterbrained。absent-mineded でも大丈夫。

presence は「(そこに)いること」。annoy は「イライラさせる」。
The match is unlikely to be canceled, despite the rain.
「~しなさそう」の unlikely。despite は「~にもかかわらず」。前置詞として使います。
