Today’s dialog
Yui: In Japanese it’s called tamago kake gohan.
Carl: What does that mean?
Yui: It basically translates to “egg on rice.” It’s steamy rice with a raw egg on top.
Carl: A raw egg?
Yui: Yes. We use a very fresh egg.
Carl: And that’s it? Just crack an egg onto some rice?
Yui: No, no. First you beat the egg in a bowl. Then you pour it over the rice and add some soy sauce. I like to mix it all up, like this! So, how is it, Carl?
Carl: Mmmm! It’s so simple yet so delicious. It’s no less than a miracle!
Yui: I’m glad you like it.
