Tammy: It’s great to have you back with us, Ryan.

Ryan: Thanks, Tammy. A lot happened last year.

Tammy: So, your start-up company didn’t succeed?

Ryan: It was very hard to start a new company. So, I applied for a job at another company.

Tammy: But you didn’t get the position?

Ryan: I was offered the job, but I turned it down. I realized I wanted to come back here.

Tammy: Well, you were always a key player for us.

Ryan: Thank you.

Helen: Wasn’t there a smoothie shop here? It was called “Very-Berry Good.”

Gary: That’s a funny name for a shop.

Helen: Yeah, I liked the building because it was painted bright pink.

Gary: It’s not here now. It must have gone out of business.

Helen: That’s too bad. I loved their strawberry smoothies!

Gary: I wonder what’s going to take its place.

Helen: I hope they make another cafe. We need more cafes in this town.

Gary: I agree.

ヒロキの電話にマンション販売員のバーバラから着信がありましたが、ヒロキはもう会えないと告げます。

Hiroki: Hello?

Barbara: Hiroki, where are you now?

Hiroki: Barbara, listen. I can’t see you anymore.

Barbara: What?

Hiroki: We have to stop seeing each other.

Barbara: Why?

Hiroki: I already have a girlfriend, and I don’t want to lose her. She said she was told to break up with me.

Barbara: Told? By who?

Hiroki: It doesn’t matter. We must have been seen walking together hand in hand.

Barbara: OK, but you can’t forget out deal.

Hiroki: Which deal?

Barbara: You agreed to buy a condominium from me.

Jessica: Exactly. Maybe you can plan a big research expedition now.
