ラジオ英会話 Lesson 210 今週の Review
Listen to the questions and pick which one of the three options is the correct answer.
Listening Challenge!
Bill: You’re good. I don’t mind a bump now and then.
Woman: Thanks, some people do. You look like someone famous. Do I know you?
Bill: I’m a musician. My name’s Bill.
Woman: Wait! You’re Bill Bungalow of that “Rats” group!
Bill: The Desperate Rats, yes. You know us?
Woman: My parents listen to your music all the time. They’re huge fans.
Bill: Awesome! But you, not so much?
Woman: Well, no…sorry.
Bill: No worries. To each their own.
Takuma: Yes, the people are very energetic.
Kelly: So, we have enough money to go to one more country.
Takuma: Right. So what country is next?
Kelly: I was thinking of New Zealand. I want to go someplace with beautiful scenery.
Takuma: Someone said that you can experience all four seasons in one day there.
Kelly: I’d like that, and I want to go somewhere relaxing.
Takuma: Sounds good to me.
Dr. Sugimoto: Please…call me Hana.
Dr. Stein: Very well, Hana. And please, call me Frank.
Dr. Sugimoto: OK. Well, to answer your question, Frank, I’ve always been a shy person.
Dr. Stein: We have that in common. Some people are shy, others are more talkative. There’s nothing wrong with being shy.
Dr. Sugimoto: But I wanted to have someone to talk to. Humans can be difficult, though.
Dr. Stein: I know what you mean.
Dr. Sugimoto: So I created Shizuka. She’s always kind.
Dr. Stein: She’s like Jeannie and Frankie.
Dr. Sugimoto: Exactly.
Carolyn: Yes, my name’s Carolyn.
Frankie: Ramen is usually made with meat, but you serve vegan ramen.
Carolyn: That’s right. I don’t eat any meat, so I decided to start a vegan ramen shop.
Frankie: There are many photos on the walls.
Carolyn: Yes, those are customers who’ve visited this shop.
Frankie: Is anybody in those photos an android?
Carolyn: An android? No, I don’t think so.
Frankie: Well, we are androids.
Carolyn: Then you’ll be the first!
