Jake: Oh, good. I was worried we might have to get out and push the car.
Sarah: Don’t be dramatic. We’ll make it. Want me to check the map?
Jake: Yeah please, just in case. Better safe than sorry.
out of gas: ガス欠で
I dunno: I don’t know のこと
ten minutes or so: 10分くらい
dramatic: 大げさな
just in case: 念のため、不測の事態に備えて
Better safe than sorry.: 用心するに越したことはありません。

ガラッと言いかえ

no wait: 考えを改める際、よく使われる
疑問文が接続する場合は、or wait が使われる。
