Listening Challenge!

Mr. Yamamoto: Hey, looks like you’re having trouble. Can I give you a hand?
Ms. Reynolds: Oh, thanks. That would be great.
Mr. Yamamoto: No problem. Where do you want it?
Ms. Reynolds: Just inside the front door.
Mr. Yamamoto: Got it. What did you order, anyway?
Ms. Reynolds: Garden supplies. I may have gone a bit overboard.
Mr. Yamamoto: Happens to the best of us.
Ms. Reynolds: I really appreciate the help.
Mr. Yamamoto: Anytime. Neighbors look out for each other.

A: He used a cart.
B: He took the woman’s package into the house.
C: He bought garden supplies for the woman.

Ethan: It’s OK, I’ll get it. I’ve fixed these before.
Jessica: Are you sure you can? The librarian said it’s tricky.
Ethan: Yeah, no worries. I’ll just pull this out – wait.
Jessica: That doesn’t look right…
Ethan: Huh. Now it’s worse. The screen’s flashing.
Jessica: Great. We broke it.
Ethan: OK … maybe we should get help.
Jessica: We should go tell the librarian before the bell rings.
Ethan: Yeah. I guess I won’t be the hero today.

A: Ask the librarian for help.
B: Go to class.
C: Ring the bell.

Nathan: Yes, I can. Codey the Bear looks great already.
Yui: I’m glad to hear that. We focused on keeping the design simple and friendly.
Nathan: The texture looks very soft, even on camera.
Yui: Thank you. We’re open to any other suggestions you might have.
Nathan: In that case, maybe the eyes could be slightly larger.
Yui: That’s helpful feedback. We’ll look into that and share an update.

A: The woman asks if Mr. Cole has any suggestions.
B: Mr. Cole doesn’t like Codey the Bear.
C: The two people are talking face to face.

Jessica: Thanks. Your place is cozy.
Ethan: Want to spread out here and tackle math first?
Jessica: Yeah, that’d help. I’m stuck on the last problem.
Ethan: Same. Do you want a drink?
Jessica: Sure. Water’s fine, thanks.
Ethan: Cool. I’ll get you some. Then let’s compare answers.
Jessica: Can we check the formula together first?
Ethan: Good idea. I’ll go grab my worksheet.
Jessica: So, if we survive this, snacks?
Ethan: Deal. You read my mind.

A: Get some snacks and read his textbook.
B: Call his mom and bring his worksheet.
C: Get some water and bring his worksheet.
