Listen to the questions and pick which one of the three options is the correct answer.
Listening Challenge!
Jessica: What? Tell me!
Ethan: Mr. Clark dropped his notes, and they scattered everywhere.
Jessica: Really? That must have been embarrassing. And then what happened?
Ethan: I helped him pick them up, and he smiled and thanked me.
Jessica: Oh, I see. So you were the hero of the day.
Ethan: Ha, not really, but it felt good.
Mr. Yamamoto: Oh, did you? Yeah, I enjoy spending a little time there every afternoon.
Ms. Reynolds: The tulips seem to be blooming nicely. Are they new this season?
Mr. Yamamoto: Thank you. I planted a few new ones.
Ms. Reynolds: They brighten the whole street. Your yard always inspires me to try harder with mine.
Mr. Yamamoto: That’s kind of you to say.
Sarah: Sure, no problem. I’m heading there after class anyway.
Jake: You’re a lifesaver. I’ve got back-to-back lectures all afternoon.
Sarah: No worries. Which drop box should I use?
Jake: I don’t think it matters, but the one by the main entrance is fine.
Sarah: Got it. Anything else you need?
Jake: Nope, that’s it. Thanks again, Sarah!
Sarah: Anytime, Jake. You owe me a coffee though!
Jake: Deal!
James: Oh – you didn’t hear? It’s “Client Visit Day.” Mr. Miller, the CEO of KYOTO, an e-commerce company, is touring our office.
Yukiko: That explains the sudden fashion upgrade. Even Jason is in a blazer.
James: Yeah, I barely recognized him. Want me to brief you before the two p.m. meeting?
Yukiko: Please. I don’t want to get caught off guard.
James: Got it. I’ll bring the updated agenda to your office in ten.
Yukiko: Perfect. Thanks, James.
