深夜、父の直樹が帰ってくると、まだ翔が起きています。

Naoki: Sho! You’re still awake.
Sho: Dad, I need to ask you something.
Naoki: What is it?
Sho: If no one can take over the ryokan, what’s going to happen to it?
Naoki: Did somebody tell you that?
Sho: My friends are all thinking about high school. What should I do?
Naoki: I think you should not worry so much.
Sho: Do you really think so?
Naoki: Of course! You have plenty of time to think about high school.
Sho: But…this is my last year of junior high school.
まだ時間はたっぷりあるじゃないか
直樹: 翔！まだ起きていたんだ。
翔: お父さん、どうしても聞きたいことがあるんだ。
直樹: 何だい？
翔: もしだれもうちの旅館を継がなかったら、どういうことになっちゃうの？
直樹: 誰かがそんなこと言ったのかい？
翔: 友達はみな高校進学のことを考えている。ぼくはどうしたらいいのだろう？
直樹: そんなに心配しないほうがいいな。
翔: 本当にそう思う？
直樹: もちろんさ！高校進学について考える時間はたっぷりあるじゃないか。
翔: でも･･･もう中学最後の年なんだよ。
