今日から新年度。私も今日から「ラジオ英会話」の勉強をします。
結構難しくて、ついて行けるのかちょっと心配ですが・・・

だけど「継続は力なり」Little and often fills the purse.

どうして継続は・・・が上の英文なのかは、知りません(^^;

Making a To-Do List

A: Bob, I’m swamped with work!

B: Why don’t you make a to-do list?

A: I did. I have 31 things to do.

B: Wow. Is it really necessary to do everything today?

A: Not really.

B: Cross out the things that aren’t urgent. Then start with the most difficult task.

A: That’ll take all morning!

B: It’ll be worth it, Anna. Trust me.

A：ボブ、私、仕事が山のよう！

B：やることリストを作ってみませんか？

A：そうしたわ。 やることが31あります。

B：うわー。 今日はすべてを行うことが本当に必要ですか？

A：そうでもないわ。

B：緊急ではないものを消して。 その後、最も難しい作業から始めてみればいい。

A：そうすると午前中いっぱいかかるよ！

B：やってみて損は無いよ。アンナ。 本当に。

Words & Expressions

○make … easier　…をより易しくする、楽にする

○(make a) to-do list　やることリスト（を作る）

○be swamped with work　仕事が山のようにある［IDIOM。be swampedだけでも同じ意味］

○Is it really necessary to …?　どうしても…する必要があるのですか？

○Not really.　そうでもありません。

○cross out　（線を引いて）消す・削除する［IDIOM］

○urgent　大至急の

○start with …　…から始める

○task　仕事、課題

○take all morning　午前中いっぱいかかる

○be worth it　やってみて損はない、やってみる価値はある［IDIOM］

○Trust me.　本当に。間違いなく。［発言のあとに加える］

良いことを勧める表現。worth　は形容詞。価値がある、値する。

用例

to be worth hearing.
聞くだけの値打ちがある

to be worth reading.
読む価値がある

I’ll be able to understand your worth.
私はあなたの有り難みが分かるようになる。

of something to be worth more than its cost.
値段のわりに,役に立つこと
